About our School
Tonie Yuen Professional Floristry
Program started the first professional florist training course in
Hong Kong in 1987. Over years of development and training of instructors,
it now offers several popular courses : Ikebana, Elvamay Floristry
Course (a professional florist training course developed in California,
USA since 1947), and Pressed Flower Art. It has since spread these
courses to other places like Mainland China, Taiwan, Philippines,
Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Canada and
the United States.

About our Program Director
Ms
Tonie Yuen, a professional designer both in Eastern and Western
floral arts, has practised in the wonderful world of floral design
since the 70's. She was trained as a planting and garden designer
in the Harvard University, as a Ikebana teacher in the Tokyo Sogetsu
School, as a Dutch design demonstrator in Europe, and as a floral
design commentator in the United States. Ms Yuen taught floral design
classes in the Harvard University campus, the former Minna Young
School of Floral Art, and the former floral design class of Sha
Tin Arts Association. Being the Program Director, she also taught
classes in the Elvamay School of Floral Design, California. She
judges for the floral design contests, both in local and international
competitions. She demonstrated floral design program on both TV
stations in Hong Kong, in the annual Hong Kong Flower Show, and
many cities in Mainland China. She writes regularly for floral design
columns in popular newspapers and magazines including Ming Pao,
Sing Tao, Style, Cosmopolitan and Blossom's magazines.
